In the last few years, the market has faced difficulties raising capital and finding policies that meet investors' narrow purchasing criteria, and more recently, the extension of life expectancy estimates is bringing mixed views. Some say this will increase investor confidence, but others feel it may diminish it.

This year's International Life Settlements Conference is the 5th annual mid-year gathering of the most active Life Settlement investors, investment bankers, hedge fund managers, providers, brokers and attorneys.

Prof. Narayan Naik of the London Business School will present his unpublished study “Life Settlements: An Empirical Investigation” based on a large proprietary dataset of over six thousand Life Insurance Policies spanning a ten-year period.

In 2012, LISA will continue to explore the landscape of the life settlement market. The event will highlight changes in regulation and legislation, funding capital, policy supply and origination and public awareness.
